Winter is Here

Winter time is one of my favorites other than my skin gets dry so i have to pack on that lotion and cold cream and carry chapstick. It doesn't snow where I live  the snow is about 40 mins. away in the mountains. But I love drinking hot cocoa and get in a blanket and watching old movies with the family. Anyway on Monday I went antique and thrift store shopping it was a blast. I made a wish list when I got home, I wanted to share it. I already have a beret but that one is adorable and I really like the sweaters. The overalls are so cute now its just the matter of finding some similar. I hope you liked the list!!

One mans Junk

 I like cooking and last night my aunt was cleaning her apartment a winter cleaning hehehehe. Before she moved to were she is now she had rented another apartment. Which was home to two elderly sisters they had traveled around the world and as they grew older they decided to leave to Europe. They knew my aunt so they decided to leave her everything they couldn't carry. so last night I was looking through my aunts book case and saw an old culinary textbook from the 50s I picked it up and saw all the recipes. I asked he about it she said I could take it because she doesn't like to cook. I was so excited she also gave me some more cooking tools which I will show you pictures of.

Vintage finds

Hello everyone ....well I go to estate sale with my mom almost every weekend there are actually quite a bit of them here. I always find something new and I wanted to post some accessories I found. Also a book I apologize for not posting any clothing finds lately but I have so many I don't know where to start.  I will get to it though =)

Thrift store shopping twist

Most of the time when I go thrift store shopping it is to go looking for clothes. On Monday I went to Redlands  with my sister to see her friend. On are way back I kept bugging  her and her boyfriend to stop at the thrift store. So they decided to go, in redlands there are a lot of farms and old houses it has a nice country feel hehehe. So in the thrift shop they still have a lot of old things. They even had little booths inside that have antiques and vintage clothing sold by other people. I even saw a  Howdy Doody doll so we looked around and bought somethings but we came across a early 1960s Console radio and turntable. We usually don't buy furniture but we thought it was pretty cool so we took it with us. It was a hassle getting it into the car though I think the owners of the shop thought we were nuts hahaha but we got it in. When we got home I cleaned it up and now we have to get a few things to fix it but the record player works well so now I can listen to all my records =).
